Woodland Spirit, acrylic on canvas, 12 x 12"
I am a multi-media artist working and residing in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. I graduated from the fine arts program at Kwantlen College (now Kwantlen Polytechnic University) and have participated in solo and group exhibitions at various venues throughout the greater Vancouver area and Sunshine Coast. Over the past many years, I have employed symbolic use of colour, numbers, pattern, and archetypes to create a visual language with which to express myself and enable the viewer to read the underlying meanings within my imagery. I enjoy working in series, where I take great delight in using one work as a springboard to the next to develop a wide range of variations on a theme. Nurturing, community, and notions of well-being are recurring themes I've explored over the past 20 years in my art practice.
